As there is high pressure on land and low pressure on sea, offshore wind from Central China to Pacific Ocean blows air pollutants emitted by industries, power stations and vehicles from South China to Tung Chung. Secondly, another cause is human factors. The major developments on Lantau Island at present are the Hong Disneyland and Hong Kong International Airport at Chek Lap Kok, AsiaWorld-Expo and power station in Penny’s Bay. First, combustion of fossil fuels from the airplanes at the Airport worsens the air quality in Tung Chung. Second, busy vehicular flow to the airport, AsiaWorld-Expo and Hong Kong Disneyland and emits air pollutants. Third, fireworks at Hong Kong Disneyland produce air pollutants which are blown to Tung Chung by wind. Last, air pollutants also emitted from the Penny’s Bay Power Station. The major development project on Lantau Island in the future includes the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge. The commercial work and the busy vehicular flow after their completion will further produce more air pollution. The air quality in Tung Chung is likely to be worsened in future. Rapid economic development in South China results in serious air pollution in Tung Chung. As more industries are relocated from Hong Kong to South China due to lower production cost, there is a rapid cross-border flow of goods and people between Hong Kong and South China. There are some type of air pollutants: Carbon oxides, Carbon monoxide, Carbon dioxide and Sulfur dioxide. In conclusion, the air quality of Tung Chung is poor. Physical and human factors are the causes of air pollution in Tung Chung.

It was labor, for example, that spearheaded the drive for public education for every child. The labor movement, indeed, has served as a force for American progress. American Labor's Second Century Now, in the 1980s, as the American trade union movement looks toward its second century, it takes pride in its first "century of achievement" as it recognizes a substantial list of goals yet to be achieved. I selected this topic because of the change in the price of gold and people’s interest in investing in gold as an investment. The importance of the project lies in the areas such as gold as one of the most valuable economic indicators, gold’s price elasticity is negative, rising gold price, gold as a safe investment, gold price determination move by landed costs and by the rupee-dollar exchange rate, factors affecting gold price fluctuation. It also deals with the fluctuation in the gold and its relation to oil markets. SCOPE OF THE STUDY The scope of the study is about the day by day changes in the price of gold and the reasons behind the change. It focuses more on the fluctuations and the interest of investors to invest in gold even though the price is getting higher.
